Sacred Space is an intentional connection with Spirit and all that is in this waking world and in the Otherworld, the Dreamtime.

Ritual Sacred Space

Having a Sacred Space for your Spiritual Practice/Meditation/Ritual is a wonderful way for you to be able to connect with Spirit, Self, Earth and the Divine. It can be a candle you light, an altar you’ve created and dedicated, a meditation pillow in a quiet place, 4 stones in your pocket, a special chair with a cup of tea or a peaceful place outside. It can be the flame in your heart that you light with intention each day, a small corner or your room, or a labyrinth you have built in your backyard. However you envision it, create it, honour it and visit it often to deepen your connections.

Ceremonial Sacred Space

Creating Sacred Space is done by setting an intention and Calling the Directions. Mindfully and respectfully invoking the Sacred, the Elements, Guardians and Archetypes of the 4 Cardinal directions, to create an energetic sphere that allows us to step out of the mundane and into the Divine, outside of time, to do healing work for ourselves, our community and Earth Mother, in a safe and sacred space. There are many, many ways to invite them to join you and over time you will develop your own personal invocation. Pure, simple and heartfelt with strong intention and gratitude is best.

Some examples to use until you  discover your own…

Personal Sacred Source

There is also another way to create a Sacred Sphere for Journey and Healing work. Within our energy field, there is a golden spinning sun that connects us to Source and holds the Divine within us. This is our 8th Chakra, our ‘Sacred Source’ and we can surround and contain ourselves within its light and energy to anchor and protect us for journeying and healing work.

When we are finished ceremony or healing work, it is necessary to close Sacred Space, again with intention, by thanking and releasing the energies invoked, thus closing our Circle and/or our Sacred Source Sphere as well.

See you in Sacred Time,

Heathir
